Truett's hopsital stay

As most of you know, we were in the hospital for 10 days with Truett (15 months old). They spent the first 36 hours doing x-rays, blood tests, stool tests, a CT scan, and a few needless procedures. Finally, they found out he had C-diff, an infection in his colon. The doctors hadn't seen a case this bad in a child. Nor were they able to explain why he kept swelling and retaining fluid. They had him on IV fluids and wouldn't let me feed him. That was the worst part, my baby signing for food, eat, milk, and more and all I could do was just hold him. At the point I couldn't take any more God stepped in. Truett's picc line got infected so they couldn't give him his nutrition through that anymore, his veins kept collapsing when they tried to start a new IV to give him fluids, and he was continuing to retain fluid in his abdomin and around his lungs. It seemed all hope was lost, but hope had been given because since there was no way to sustain him they had to let us feed him (pedialyte & pediasure). He perked up, the swelling began decreasing, and the entire mood of the room we were in changed. I am grateful to the doctors and nurses, but in the end I KNOW it was God who started the healing process.
Thank you all for your concern, care, support, and prayers through this time.
