Truett had a follow-up doctor's appointment on Tuesday with the GI specialist at Brenner Children's Hospital. He took a stool sample and had some blood work (CBC) done too. They called me today with the result. Drum roll please (((( dum-ditty-dum-ditty-ditty-dum-dum )))))
The c-diff is gone! Halleluja! True doesn't have to have any more antibiotics and I can stop cleaning everything with bleach. The blood work all came back normal too. Praise God!
Now, he can start the healing process. The doctor said that it would take months before he is back to 100% because he had such a bad infection. I am ready for the diarrhea to stop and I am sure Truett is too. He still has 8-12 dirty diapers a day. It does make me nervous that it might cause his rectum to prolapse again, but thankfully it hasn't in about two weeks. We appreciate your continued prayers for his healing.
Truett is eating well. Actually he is taking in alot, but it's mostly just Pediasure (24-32 oz. a day!) and carbs. He loves biscuits, crackers, potato chips, french fries, mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes.
I continue to be amazed at how many people love and care True Baby. Thank you all for your visits, emails, cards, food, gifts, and mostly your prayers. God has answered them!
