My boy loves baseball. Papoo gave him the love of the game and Nana gave him a little red Louiseville Slugger. We can't go more than an hour without a mention of the Great American Past Time.

Doing the Hundred
Speaking of following through with a goal, Ashley and I have decided that we are "Doing the Hundred" It is a 6-week challenge. The goal is by the end of 6 weeks to be able to do 100 push-ups. Want to join us? http://hundredpushups.com/ We will start on Monday, August 18 and end September 29th. I am not even telling anyone how few I was able to do on the inital test. Please ask us if we are sticking to this goal. It seems like the perfect way to work out for those who have no time to work out (me).
Mommy & Me Challenge
In July I started a 52 week (that's one year for all of you that are not good at math) Mommy & Me Photo Challenge. Each week for the next year I am going to (try) to take a picture of one or both of the boys and me. I haven't been keeping up with it well yet, so I thought if I posted it on here it would motivate me to stay on top of the project. I really want to commit to doing something and follow through with it. I haven't done that with much of anything lately except keeping my kids' bellies full & their bottoms cleaned.

A Walk
We went on a walk this morning because Tobias was, “ready”, but we had an hour before we needed to leave for the morning’s official outing. With Truett in his Snuggly strapped to my chest and Tobias with his infamous baseball hat we decided to walk to the end of the road and back. I let Tobias set the pace; it’s easy to do since he likes for Truett and I to walk “hind” him.
Most of the trip was stop and go because there is so much to look at in the spring when you are almost 2 years old. Broken twigs w/ pine needles still attached seem to be a broom, so one must stop to pick it up and sweep the sidewalk. A plane flying over head is spotted and he announces, “Daddy!” I am not sure if he thinks Ashley is on the plane or that he made the plane, but he definitely associates the two. He notices an owl statue and tells me what it is and proudly says, “whoo – whoo”. Then he finds a nice spot and asks us to “sit”. Who can pass up a rest? Truett doesn’t like to sit as much as Tobias and I do, so we are back up after only a few seconds rest.
This short rest must have energized big brother because he took off “run fast” on the sidewalk. He ran too fast, tripped, and scraped his knee. He immediately sat down, showed me his “boo-boo” and then kissed it himself! Apparently that didn’t work well though because he wanted me to kiss it too. We saw a neighbor and Tobias had to wave to her as he yelled, “Hi!” He is such a social butterfly. He told her we were on a “walk” and I was “hind” him. Then he showed her his boo-boo. After he had said enough he yelled “Bye-bye!” and waved to her. For some reason though, he likes to stop, wave, and say , “Bye-bye!” numerous times before he feels is it sufficient and decides to head home. As we finished our walk home every few feet he had to stop, sit down, lift up his leg, and kiss his little boo-boo. I was required to kiss it a few more times as well; it feels good to be needed.

It's official!
I have offically changed the spelling of little T's name to TRUETT. It is a long story, but I think the name is better suited for him spelled with an E. We named him that because it means truth and our prayer is that he speaks with honesty and believes God's truth and desires to tell it to others. I can tell by the look on his face that he is pleased with the new spelling.
Momma's big helper...sort of...
Yesterday morning while Tobias was eating breakfast Truett fell asleep. I thought "Tobias can sit here by himself long enough for me to put the baby down." Right? Wrong! When I left he was sitting in his booster seat enjoying a bowl of Fruity Cheerios. When I came back less than 3 minutes later he had apparently spilled the bowl of cereal, stomped them with his puddle splashing boots, and then decided to sweep it up for me. Pictures cannont even do justice to what a colorful mess it was. However, how could I get mad a such a big helper?

O Happy Day!
Truitt has reached his first milestone - SMILING! How cute is that?!?
This is the first one that I have been able to get him to do for the camera. I would love to write more, but he is not in the same blissful mood as the picture right now.

He loves me...
Tobias went to stay with Grammy & Papoo this weekend because Mommy was sick and Daddy was tired. Lately Tobias hasn't wanted to leave my side, even if it is to stay with Daddy. However, when the grandparents came Friday he went to the door waved, said, "Bye-bye", and blew me a kiss...no hesitation.
I was wondering if he would want to come home Sunday because it sounded like he was having so much fun. He got a bike hemlet and boots for puddle jumping and he went to the Mickey D's playground.
This afternoon I heard the doorbell ring. When I opened it I saw the sweetest boy and knew immediate he does love me. (I won't go into how the rest of the evening went. Let's just say I think he has a head cold and is teething.) It is amazing how much I love him, especially when he looks so cute!

GREAT Grandparents!
As much as we miss our Greenville friends it is nice to be so close to family here. Tobias & Truitt have been able to spend a lot of time with all the grandparents; they have Grammy & PaPoo, Grandma & Paw-Paw Joe, GG & GG (that stands for Great Grandma & Great-Grandpa), and a Granny & Papa!!! That's right EIGHT grandparents!!! Talk about spoiled. Actually, its me (Heather) that is spoiled by all the help with the babies, meals, and cleaning. Not to mention its nice to have company a couple times a week. Above is a picture of Granny & Papa reading with Tobias & Truitt at our house.

Pajama Party
Truit or True-ee as Tobias likes to call him is now one week old. Tobias has decided that he likes being a big brother (most of the time). This night Tobias was being especially sweet. He took the time to make sure Truitt has eyes, nose, ears, and hair. For some reason he had to pull his hair to make sure it was real. Luckily, little bro was okay with that.
Happy New Year from the hospital!
Adrian Truitt Waldridge was born on December 31st at 11:20pm. He weighed 7lbs. 12oz. and was almost 20 inches long. Tobias came to the hospital the next morning to meet his little brother. It took him a while to like the cute little face.
